I can't say enough good things about my experience at Destiny Recovery. I came to them during a very difficult time, and the support and care I received truly made a difference. Katie, Manny, Jena, Kristy and Juls were absolutely wonderful. They genuinely cared about me as a person and helped me learn how to become more aware of my thoughts and emotions, recognize my triggers, and develop healthy coping techniques that I can use in everyday life. I left the program feeling stronger, more confident, and much better prepared for the next stage of my life. What impressed me most was how personal the experience felt. I never felt like I was just another person going through a program. I felt heard, supported, and cared about. Destiny helped me through one of the most important periods of my life, and I'll always be grateful for what they did for me. I was a mess when I arrived at Destiny, didn’t want to go, was nervous, but I also had the desire to get better.  Destiny blew my expectations off the roof. Their kindness, hospitality, and extensive experience (they too, lived the life), made me walk out of there the best version of myself.  The things I learned will be applied throughout my lifetime. I am so grateful for my experience there it almost makes me want to relapse so I can go back.   I’m kidding, relapse isn’t an option. But I will definitely be in contact with all the wonderful people I met and was mentored from. The days flew by, when I thought the complete opposite would happen. Field trips to cool places, menu based on what you like to eat, and the kind fella that works nights will even let you eat a big bowl of cereal when you are having trouble sleeping. (I ate a bowl of cereal every night at about 1:20 am in case you were wondering) if you’ve made it this far in this review, congrats! You just qualified for a drawing for a brand new washer and dryer. Kidding again, but I think you get my point. If you know of anyone struggling that wants to get their life on track for the better and they have a desire, Destiny Recovery is definitely what I would recommend to anyone. My experience here has been so incredible. The staff treated me like family since before i even arrived in california making my travel a breeze. The nurses care, the therapist is insightful and the case manager knows honest recovery. As a veteran, I am so thankful for Destiny for being a beacon of hope in my sea of despair. Having reached my rock bottom with little to no assistance from the VA or Tricare to help me find a solution to my additions. Destiny’s meaningful and personal approach to treatment and recovery has allowed me to map a new and exciting course, living a life of sobriety - free from my additions. The staff at Destiny are some of the best people I have ever met! They worked hard to provide me with the support I needed, and really connected with me on a human level. They had so much patience with me as we navigated the care that I wanted/needed. Additionally, the food they provide you  is not only well-rounded and healthy, but the dinners they serve taste and smell like you’re living in a gourmet restaurant!
