Dual Diagnosis Treatment
At Destiny Recovery center, we understand that addiction rarely exists in isolation. Dual diagnosis treatment addresses not only the physical aspects of addiction but also co-occurring mental health disorders. It’s estimated that between 30% and 50% of individuals struggling with addiction also experience mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, or PTSD. Recognizing and treating these interconnected challenges is crucial for lasting recovery.
Often, untreated mental health conditions can lead to self-medication with drugs and alcohol as individuals seek relief from distressing symptoms. However, this self-medication can create a dangerous cycle. Substance use can cause significant chemical and structural changes in the brain, impacting how the brain communicates with the body and disrupting hormonal balance. These changes can, in turn, contribute to the development of mental health disorders like depression or anxiety, even in individuals with no prior history.
Ignoring this vital connection between mental health and addiction can perpetuate a harmful cycle. Without integrated treatment, individuals may resort to increased substance use or the use of multiple substances in a desperate attempt to alleviate their untreated mental health symptoms, further compounding their difficulties. Our dual diagnosis program provides the integrated care necessary to break this cycle and foster true, holistic healing.

Here at Destiny Recovery Center we understand that quality treatment does not come in a one-size-fits-all box. Successful treatment is crafted, client focused, and individualized per client needs. After completing a thorough assessment and speaking with the clinical team, a individualized treatment plan will be created just for you!
At Destiny Recovery’s residential treatment program, our clients receive 40 hours of clinical programing while living in a large and secure home right in the community. This community integrated program allows clients to experience daily life activities, attend life skills groups, adventure in nature, all while under the supervision of the best clinicians in California. Success rates of traditional rehabs are low because they do not prepare the client for the real world. At Destiny Recovery, our clients are focused and ready to experience their new found life.

Our clients at Destiny Recovery benefit from the structure setting of treatment that includes stabilization, psychiatric care, medication monitoring, intensive individual and group therapy, skills development and increased ADLS.
Continued care and Aftercare
Dual Diagnosis Treatment
At Destiny Recovery, we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition to continued care, whether that involves outpatient programs, safe and sober living environments, or any other aftercare option best suited to your individual needs.
For our dual diagnosis clients, we offer our specialized Mental Health Outpatient Program, providing a supportive environment to continue their therapeutic work and explore the often-underlying roots of their addiction, self-medicating trauma and/or mental health symptoms.
For clients wishing to continue their care beyond our local area, our dedicated staff will provide thoughtful referrals and recommendations to treatment options that align with their specific needs. Our case manager will work diligently to ensure a seamless transition to continued care and aftercare services, and, when possible, will even arrange transportation for tours of other facilities. For clients who prefer to remain in our local area, we also offer Supportive Housing options.
